Claude D. Ambrose is the founder and Senior Pastor of The Word Worship Center. As an effective communicator of God’s Word, Pastor Ambrose is widely known for his practical and dynamic teaching style, which helps people apply the timeless truths of Scripture to their everyday lives.
Pastor Ambrose became actively involved in church ministry as a young adult under the pastorate of his spiritual father, John H. Rice, Sr. During his early tenure, he served in various capacities, including serving as a Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, and Outreach Ministry Director, and interim Pastor.
After 36 years of service with Union Pacific Railroad, he retired early as Manager of Operations to pursue full-time ministry. In 2014, he accepted God’s next divine assignment and started The Word Worship Center (TWWC). TWWC is a powerful, personal and progressive ministry which focuses on evangelizing the lost and equipping the saints for Kingdom living and service
Pastor Ambrose and his wife, “Lady Charlie”, enjoy co-laboring in the ministry. They are the proud parents of their son, Andrae, and daughter in law, Denise.

First Lady “Charlie” Ambrose is well known for her cheerful spirit and willingness to worship. She is a leader who believes the true meaning of living a righteous life is to seek God through an active prayer life, as well as enthusiastic worship.
Spending most of her professional career climbing the corporate ladder in management at Blue Cross Blue Shield, she opted for early retirement in 2016 to join her husband in full-time ministry.
As Director of Operations of TWWC, Lady Ambrose prayerfully and skillfully draws upon her extensive background in business administration and leadership to create a Spirit of Excellence in the operations of the ministry. She enjoys operating in her gift of exhortation, as she loves encouraging believers in Christ and always remains available to teach and offer spiritually wise counsel.

Andrae and Denise serve as staff pastors of TWWC and are responsible for the Saturday evening worship gatherings. They have served together in similar ministry capacities for nearly 20 years. As Creatives, Andrae and Denise are passionate about seeing the Arts thoughtfully and excellently incorporated into the worship experience. They believe there is a place for all gifts in the Body of Christ and, with a little bit of effort, the end result should be awe-inspiring, encouraging and uplifting worship encounters.
Andrae and Denise are also committed to helping individuals find a place to serve in ministry. For many, the Church is the place where deep friendships and “extended” families are established. They look for ways to connect people to vision and to each other. They are also gifted pre-marital counselors.
